12 Inspiring Biographies That Introduce Kids to Diverse Heroes | Brightly

So finding a biography a book written by an author about someone else is not hard, as long as you know who you want to read about. What is difficult is finding an autobiography a book that a person writes about their own life. Autobiography for Kids

These are some of my favorite illustrated biographies and memoirs for young book-lovers:. Escaping anti-Semitic violence in the Ukraine with her family in , Clara Lemlich arrived in the U. Beginning with small acts of resistance, young Clara went on to lead tens of thousands of women to conduct a large-scale factory walkout. Success can come early for some people. Malala Yousafzai is an exceptional girl by any standards. Her passionate belief that girls must be allowed to have an education — and everything else that is on offer — put her centre stage. Her the version of her autobiography I Am Malala: How One Girl Stood Up for Education and Changed the World adapted by Patricia McCormick for younger readers, tells of her childhood in the Swat valley in Pakistan and the moment when she was shot at close range by a Taliban soldier — just for being a school girl.
