Publishers may not share sales numbers for individual books, or their reported numbers may be inaccurate they seem prone to creative exaggeration, particularly when a movie version of the book is coming out soon. It gets even worse when you consider that many books are put out in multiple editions over the years, often by entirely different publishers. Older works that are in the public domain might be published simultaneously by several different publishers.

It was written by several authors inspired by the Holy Spirit over a period of time. It is categorized into the Old Testament and the New Testament.

There are few skills more valuable to the human animal than the ability to read. It sharpens our basic critical faculties, enabling us to make the advancements we have made. Yet, it is still one of the skills people loath to develop these days. In Ghana for instance, I did literature in senior high and journalism for my degree, yet majority of colleagues in either class barely found the time to pick a book to read- even though one can reasonably assume both class should contain those who actually like reading; at least that must be one of the reasons for them to be taking those courses. The top two are both Holy Books, which I think is because people know they have to read those- to be considered a good Muslim or Christian.
