In the spring of , high school students Amanda Collier and Dawson Cole fell deeply, irrevocably in love. Though they were from opposite sides of the tracks, their love for one another seemed to defy the realities of life in the small town of Oriental, North Carolina. But as the summer of their senior year came to a close, unforeseen events would tear the young couple apart, setting them on radically divergent paths. How To Write A Book For Beginners

I would say that this book falls under the category of being a romantic fiction novel. This isn't a true story and it also is about a two people falling.

The Best of Me: by Nicholas Sparks | Summary & Analysis

I have to say that I loved the book up until the ending. He did such an amazing job building the love story between the two main characters and then ended it so abruptly. The movie ended just as abruptly but I felt there was much more closure to it then the book. These were TWO totally different stories. The only thing that was the same was the fact that Amanda and Dawson fell in love, fate stepped in and ripped them apart, they fell back in love and then fate stepped in again and ripped them apart. Here are the things were changed in the movie that made me sooooooo mad:. If I ever write a book and get asked to sell my rights so it can be a movie I will be extremely careful and make sure that it stays true to the book.

See a Problem?

All of his books have been New York Times bestsellers, with over million copies sold worldwide, in more than 50 languages, including over 75 million copies in the United States alone. Sparks wrote one of his best-known stories, The Notebook , over a period of six months at age It was published in and he followed with the n.

Significant Character: Dawson Cole is the most interesting character for me. When he decided to broke up with Amanda because he wants Amanda to achieve her dreams and go to college and not go with him and escape everything. He was in prison because of the accident occurred to Dr. He let the investigation to the Bonners, give flowers to the grave of Dr. David Bonner and give monthly allowance to his family anonymously. I really salute him by that, although negatively he is slowly killing himself by poisoning himself of the past. One thing that makes him interesting is that he saved Alan from his cousins and he saved Jared by giving his heart to him.
