Florence and the machine books
Florence Welch has a book club – how many of these have you read? - NMEThe chanteuse, and eternal style inspiration for the bohemian-inclined everywhere, was a pioneer of the celebrity book club movement. The venture came about when Welch tweeted a vintage-style polaroid photo of herself outside a bookstore, fittingly dressed in a retro peasant blouse and brick-red flared trousers. We're super excited to announce our next book recommendation at 9pm GMT this evening!! A mere week later, the Florence and the Machine front-woman was holding up her book of choice to a crowd at a gig in Indianapolis, Indiana. As for the year-old lit-obsessed teen who spawned the movement? Her name is Leah Moloney, a Westmeath native who is now a psychology student at Trinity College Dublin while serving as creative director of the project. When I was eight or nine, reading was not something you would admit to.
Between Two Books
The Outrun by Amy Liptrot. Ashley has always been a writer at heart, receiving a diary from her mother at a very young age. Supportive book-buying parents influenced her love of literature and storytelling as she grew up. Her love for songwriting led the way to creating short stories and the start of her own blog where she documented her life as a college student. When she is not working on her first novel or new story ideas, Ashley can be found curled up with her rescue chihuahuas or exploring breathtaking locations throughout the US. Songs can be incredibly prophetic, like subconscious warnings or messages to myself, but I often don't know what I'm trying to say till years later. Or a prediction comes true and I couldn't do anything to stop it, so it seems like a kind of useless magic. Generous in its honesty , by the end you feel as though you have climbed into the colourful, and sometimes tortured, world of a passionate artist' iNews. Her first book of poetry is an elegant collaged scrapbook. A treasure.
Set up in , Between Two Books is Florence's book club; the club are given a read recommendation every few months by Florence or other special guests.

Florence + the Machine: Live at the Royal Albert Hall - HD
Florence Welch — aka leading lady of Florence and the Machine — has been one of my favorites for a long, long time. But she earned my life-long respect when I saw her live for the second time this summer. It was the morning after the horrific Orlando shooting, and Florence had the entire audience hold a moment of silence. In a venue of over 30, people, the silence was Earth-shattering, and Florence continued to play tribute to the victims of that massacre throughout the show. Florence, for those who may not know, is a mega book lover. Between Two Books has an impressive 41, followers on Instagram. She is, as one would expect, an eclectic reader, traversing the worlds of fiction and poetry and non-fiction.
